Bike Weight Impact Calculator
Calculate time saved on climbs from reducing bike weight.
How We Calculate This
Climbing Power Equation
Speed is solved from: P = m*g*gradient*v + Crr*m*g*v + 0.5*\u03C1*CdA*v\u00B3
On steep climbs, the gravity term dominates, making weight savings more impactful. On gentle gradients, aero drag still plays a significant role.
- Time saved = (Distance / Old speed) - (Distance / New speed)
- Seconds per kg = Time saved / Weight difference
