These terms govern your use of bikecalcs.uk (the “site”). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What the site provides

The site is a free library of cycling calculators plus reference content — covering power and speed, gearing, bike fit, wheels and tyres, training load, nutrition, maintenance and ride planning. It is provided “as is” without account registration or payment.

2. Accuracy and your own judgement

Calculators are estimates based on published models (e.g. the Martin et al. road-power model), recognised training and bike-fit conventions, and the figures you enter. Real-world results depend on your own physiology, position, equipment, road surface, wind and measurement accuracy. Fit, spoke-length, tyre-pressure and structural figures in particular should be checked against your components and, where it affects safety, confirmed with a qualified mechanic or fitter before you rely on them.

Treat every result as a starting point, not a guarantee. Power, speed, calorie and nutrition outputs vary widely between riders, so use them as a guide and adjust to how you feel. We round and estimate conservatively, but we cannot account for every rider, bike or condition, so verify safety-critical numbers (spoke length, tyre pressure, component compatibility) independently before you build, buy or ride.

3. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the site;
loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, business interruption, or anticipated savings;
wasted parts, mis-sized or incompatible components, failed builds, or errors or omissions in calculator output;
out-of-date citations where standards, manufacturer specs or conventions have since changed;
third-party links and their content.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under English law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

scrape the site in bulk using automated tools faster than a reasonable human pace;
attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or break the site’s services;
misrepresent the site’s content as official guidance or as an endorsement of a product;
use the site for any unlawful purpose.

5. Intellectual property

Page text, charts, UI design, calculator logic, and code are protected by copyright unless stated otherwise. You may:

view, save, and print pages for personal or internal business use;
link to the site from your own site or documents;
quote short extracts with attribution to BikeCalcs.

You may not: republish substantial extracts, scrape at scale for training commercial AI systems, or present the site’s content as your own.
